Person in Parliament(MP) for Builsa Southern Clement Apaak who is among the leading personalities against the execution of the e-levy by authorities has failed to answer whether or not the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will withdraw the garnishment if they are voted into energy in 2024.
The Group in Parliament has kicked vehemently against the e-levy and it has rallied the people of Ghana behind them to reject the newest levy the government intends in order to introduce to the country.
For them, the introduction of such a levy at the moment will visit untold struggles on the people of Ghana.
The Minority has said that will until government accounts for all of the monies given for the management of the country it will not allow for the implementation from the e-levy because monies manufactured from e-levy will also be mismanaged by government.
When questioned upon Accra-based Okay FM upon whether the NDC will pull away the levy when they are usually voted into office ought to it passed, Clement Apaak could not provide a concrete solution.
“The levy has not been exceeded neither have we reach power. We are talking about these days, we cannot talk about the near future today. We’ve not long gone there, we are not those in government. We are unable to dwell on conjecture and what we all know is that it is unjustified, ” he said while operating away from the question.
