
The authorities Administration has interdicted 6 (6) Police Officers over their particular roles in the shooting event at Lamashegu, a region of Tamale in the North Region of Ghana upon Suday. Reports in the local mass media Sunday February 13, 2022 indicated that a Police Officer chased a 24-year-old man towards the Palace of the Chief associated with Lamashegu where he was chance because he decided not to stop whenever he was asked in order to. According to reports, the vehicle was unregistered and in an attempt to escape law enforcement inquiry, the young man didn’t stop when he had been flagged by the Police patrol team. The incident resulted in the clash between the Law enforcement and the Youth of Lamashegu and that led to a close to bloodbath as some residents had been reportedly shot and remaining with various degrees of accidents. A joint operation involving the Police and the Military guaranteed that calm was later on restored in the area.
