Vice President Alhaji Dr . Mahamudu Bawumia joined the Alfredia community to crossover to the New Year visiting 3 churches within the Greater Kumasi Metropolitan Area in the Ashanti region on New Year’s Eve.
This is the second calendar year in a row that he provides spent his new year’s eve joining watch night time church services in Kumasi, though his church visitations date back to his times in opposition.
Accompanied by a higher level entourage comprising ministers associated with state, deputy ministers, Users of Parliament, district chiefs executive, party executives great wife, Hajia Samira Bawumia, the Vice President distribute the message of serenity and religious tolerance all over the place he went.
His initial stop was at the Bremang Ebenezer Methodist Church within the Suame Municipality and then towards the St . Peter’s Cathedral Basilica in the Kumasi Metropolis and lastly at the Ayigya Church associated with Pentecost in the Oforikrom Municipality where he announced his satisfaction to see the New Year together with his Christian compatriots.
Handling the congregations, he preserved that the peace in Ghana is something to be recognized rather than taken for granted.
“We possess a special country; this nation Ghana. Sometimes we bring it for granted; until you visit other countries you do not know how we are blessed being a country. We are a tranquil country; we’re the second the majority of peaceful country in The african continent and also the most peaceful within West Africa”, he stated amidst applause from the Chapel of Pentecost congregation in Ayigya.
The Vice Leader who has been criticized with a section of the Islamic devoted for his romance using the church insisted that, “we are very lucky and I think that will part of what God’s benefits have been for us, is that we have been very united as a nation, notwithstanding our diversity”.
“We are the only country to will see the Chief Imam visit church to celebrate their 100th birthday. We are the nation where you’ll see the Muslim Vice President come to chapel to crossover into 2022; it is a beautiful country therefore we want to keep it peaceful simply us we have done through the years to be the most peaceful nation in West Africa plus second most peaceful within Africa as a whole”, this individual said.
