Dilemma over 2022 budget grand on as Majority get turn to approve it

The particular 2022 budget that was turned down by the Minority in Parliament has been approved by the Majority within Parliament at today’s sitting down. The approval of the Spending budget was done by Mouthpiece Speaker of Parliament whom sat in for Alban Sumana Bagbin who is out of the nation for a medical review. Talking on the approval, Joe Osei Owusu said “The Home has adopted the Monetary statement and approved this statement for the ensuing 12 months ending 31st December 2021”. The Majority leader Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu then questioned that the rejection of the spending budget by the Minority on Nov 27, 2021, be put aside. He said the Group engaged in illegality with the disapproval of the budget. He stated the process “did not satisfy the test established under Post 104, ” because Parliament did not have the required quantities to be present in the holding chamber for purposes of taking decisions”.
