Akufo-Addo’s struggles with promises the lesson for politicians – Kwaku Kwarteng to political figures

Person in Parliament for Obuasi Western constituency in the Ashanti Area of Ghana Kwaku Kwarteng has said that it’s critical that politicians start advising by themselves on the promises they make throughout campaigns. According to him, the particular promises brings untold stress on politicians after they were given the position and they understand that things don’t seem to be just like they saw it externally. He said this leads to the development of several taxes and prices because the government wants to satisfy all its promises designed to the people so that they are not viewed as liars in the face of the people these people represent. “We need to begin advising ourselves on the claims we make during advertisments. If you promise a lot of things and thus, you are given the power and also you do not want to court the name for yourself as a liar, you’ll want to follow all of the promises. As you fulfil the particular promises too, it’s cash and when the money is not sufficient, then you become restless as being a government because you have guaranteed and have to deliver, ” he or she said on Okay FM in Accra. He carried on that “the citizens also needs to advise themselves going ahead that what we did during the past we won’t repeat it. Claims made by Nana Akufo-Addo within 2016 I was part of this. We made several claims and Nana Addo any person who hates not to satisfy his promises. We from Finance advise that a few of the things are put on keep but the President will persist we look for the money. This particular brought about untold pressure with an already sinking economy. ”Kwaku Kwarteng said when they arrived although the economy was striving, they put in place measures which were reviving the economy till COVID-19 came with its damning effect adding that the drawing a line under of the borders especially avoided certain monies from entering the country.
