It is senseless to say you’re unemployed – Osei Kyei Mensah lashes tollbooth hawkers

But speaking on Accra-based OKAY FM, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu who is almost all Leader in Parliament pointed out that it was necessary for government in order to close down the tollbooths since it was bad business. “Everyday where we take tolls is the part of the road that will gets spoilt. As I said, the entire year we get regarding GHC 78 million and use almost fifty mil to maintain that spot. What exactly do we make through the tolls we collect? Absolutely nothing, ” he said upon Accra-based OKAY FM. “Apart from maintenance, we agreement people to clean the place that people clean it 2 to 3 times daily. If you don’t do this visitors will see Ghana being a dirty country. What the investors are saying that the government offers rendered them jobless, just about anybody that tollbooths are not built to serve as market facilities. So if they say the tollbooths are not there any more therefore it has rendered them unemployed it doesn’t make sense, ” he said.
