Chief executive of Ghana Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has questioned drivers to learn to drive securely in order to reduce road incidents in the country. On Monday, 17 people, including 10 kids, have been confirmed dead inside a fatal accident involving the Sprinter bus and a good articulated truck in the Abofuor Forest in the Ashanti area. The accident occurred around 3: 30 am on Mon when the Man Diesel truck with registration number GS 4339-17 collided head-on with the Kumasi-Daboya bound Mercedes Sprinter coach with registration number GRAND TOURING 6075-15. Today, another incident is said to have occurred at the Kumasi-Techiman Highway when a tour bus collided with a KIA Rhino after which the bus captured fire and burnt a few six persons beyond acknowledgement. Reacting to the series of incidents, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in a tweet said he or she was saddened by the information. While wishing bereaved households his condolences, the Leader used the opportunity to caution motorists and users of the street to be cautious and generate safe in order to protect lifestyles especially during this season. Their tweet read “I have got learnt with considerable unhappiness of the tragic accident, on Akomadan, that has claimed the particular lives of some thirty people in the early hrs of this morning. I lengthen my condolences to groups of the deceased and desire the injured a fast recovery.
