Shatta Wale, three others remanded for one week

Award winning Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale who was born Charles Nii Armah Mensah has been remanded to one week in jail custody. Three other associates were also remanded in to prison custody by a good Accra Circuit Court Oct 21, 2021. This was their first appearance in courtroom after he was caught on Tuesday. Shatta Wale pleaded not guilty to the cost of publication of fake news and causing worry and panic. His accomplices, Kojo Owusu Koranteng, Idris Yusif and Eric Venator have been charged for abetment of crime are also to invest the next one week in law enforcement custody. They also pleaded simple to the charge. The 4 persons are expected to come back again in court on Oct 26, 2021.
