The 26-year-old man has been used into police custody with regard to reportedly killing his 64-year-old father in Akure, Ondo State, Nigeria.
The child identified as Godwin Mathew dedicated the heinous crime right after accompanying his father towards the farm.
According to reports, Godwin macheted his father to loss of life for serving him along with chicken head.
The Public Relationships Officer of the Ondo Condition Police, DSP Funmi Odunlami, confirmed the unfortunate event and explained how this happened.
“On 9th Sept 2021, a case of killing was reported at Ala Divisional Headquarters by one particular Mrs. Christiana Audu Matt that her son Godwin Matthew, 26 years old remaining home with his father towards the family’s farm but the lady later discovered that the child had macheted his dad to death.
In the course of interrogation, the suspect stated that will on 9th September 2021, his late father instructed him to kill the chicken for his sibling one Emmanuel Audu, seven years old, for his amusement, meanwhile, it was only the poultry head that was given to your pet and this made him destroy his father”, DSP Funmi Odunlami confirmed.
