
Ghana striker, Kwame Opoku, scored for USM Alger on his debut against MC Alger in the Algerian Coupe De La Ligue quarter-finals on Saturday night at the Stade Omar Hammadi in Algiers. The 22-year-old scored the first in the 2-0 victory that sends USM Alger to the semi-finals of the Algerian Cup over compatriot, Joseph Esso’s club. Opoku, who joined the Algerian giants over a month ago from Asante Kotoko, got off the mark 19-minutes into his debut on his 22nd birthday with a quick feet finish. Zakaria Naidji added the second in the 90th-minute to round up the win.
