Ghana’s consulate in Dubai has admonished people traveling to the Usa Arab Emirates to be aware when taking parcels to become delivered to others in Dubai after 5 Ghanaians had been arrested in the Arab nation for trafficking marijuana.
Inside a statement signed by the consulate on Wednesday 21st 04 2021, it was confirmed one individual has already been sentenced to ten years imprisonment for carrying drugs towards the United Arab Emirates.
“The consulate general wishes in order to advise everyone who has a family member coming from ghana to Dubai, to inform them never to consider any message/parcel from realtors or any other person to create to Dubai except if they could inspect and ascertain the real content of the message/ package. ” part of the statement read through.
According the consulate the particular parcels containing the bud was given to them by brokers in Ghana who obtained the visa for them.
“The sad part of it all is the fact that, all the parcels containing the particular weed were given to them from the agents in Ghana that acquired the UAE australian visa for them, with instructions for them to give the parcels to their version agents in the UAE upon arrival. It is also interesting that the weed is normally concealed in food items. ” this individual added.
