Consider ‘politics’ out of Population plus Housing Census – Francis Ejaku Donkoh

An ex Central Regional Youth Coordinator for the New Patriotic Celebration (NPP), Mr. Francis Ejaku Donkoh has called upon Ghanaians to eschew intense partisanship towards the 2021 Nationwide Population and Housing Census. The National Population plus Housing Census which is carried out once every 10 years has been originally scheduled for the calendar year 2020 but has been unduly delayed due to the coronavirus limitations and general elections executed last year. Mr. Francis Ejaku Donkoh, who is the former Set up man for Nkubem Electoral area at Saltpond within the Mfantseman Municipality has thus called on Ghanaians to not politicize the upcoming nationwide exercise which begins within the night of Sunday June, twenty-seven. He said “The census must not be seen as an exercise to market the agenda of the judgment government but as an physical exercise very crucial to our advancement planning, which everyone should take seriously, ”. Talking to Amansan Krakye of Kastle FM fame in Shawl Coast monitored by MyNewsGh. com, Mr. Francis Ejaku Donkoh has therefore advised the leadership of all politics parties to educate their people on the importance of the census to enable them to participate fully within it. “I’m pleading and i implore you to urging all the leaders from the various political parties to install seriousness to the upcoming nationwide census and as a matter of significance, educate their members to understand the need to give accurate details to census officials visiting their residence. ” he or she advised. The Census Consultant to the Government Statistician, Mister. Kofi Agyeman-Duah recently stated the census night, which usually had been scheduled for 06 27, 2021, was simply a reference night, which failed to mean all the data will be collected on that night time.
