Open public intellectual Professor Stephen Kwaku Asare, known affectionately because Kwaku Azar has lamented the current state of Ghana which is witnessing teething difficulties in education, health, protection road infrastructure, national financial debt management, access to utilities as well as the economy as a whole, noting these problems persist because we now have reduced our politics in order to who should hold which usually position instead how we may resolve our issues as being a country. In consequence, although we do politics 365 days a year (366 times in a leap year), the problems facing us a country remain unaddressed and the problems keep compounding. Our own education system is a damage. Our social security program guarantees insecurity. Our health care system does not heal. Our own roads are death barriers. Our economy does not generate jobs. Our national financial debt is soaring. Our houses have no access to Water, Electrical power or even Toilet (WET), and so forth, ” he lamented. Prof Azar stressed that despite the fact that our politics goes on unabated has not been able to ensure that most our citizens vote, incorporating that if “they” don’t value all people being represented politically represented, they cannot care about their own utilities( Water, Electricity, Toilet). If they do not care about your representation, these people won’t care about your DAMP!! We must begin to see the light! When they cannot keep your lights upon they cannot be the way out from the darkness. #SALL is the primary sin of the 8th Parliament.
