Previous Vice Chancellor for the College of Professional Studies provides indicated that private lawful firm Lithur Brew plus Company deserve an amount of GHC three hundred, 000 paid to it with the University during his period as Vice-Chancellor. The Auditor-General in its latest report instructed the former Rector of the College for Professional Studies (UPSA), Professor Joshua Alabi in order to refund with interest some almost ¢300, 000 compensated as legal fees in order to private legal firm Lithur Brew and Company intended for no work done. The particular Report said the Administration of UPSA signed the retainer agreement dated 03 16, 2014, and compensated an amount of ¢263, 670 in order to law firm Lithur Brew plus Company as a retainer charge but there is no evidence of the particular provision of any lawful services to the University. The particular report also noted that will Lithur Brew and Organization was appointed through sole-sourcing without recourse to the procedures of the Public Procurement (Amendment) Act, 2016 (Act 914).
