GES backtracks; tells Achimota college not to admit dreadlock college students

2 days ago the Ghana Training Service (GES) instructed regulators of the Achimota School in order to admit the two first-year college students who reported on campus with dreadlocks. This comes after a massive debate on social media marketing after reports that the college had refused to confess the children although they gained entrance. In an interview with Pleasure News monitored by MyNewsGh. com, the lawyer from the Rastafari Council of Ghana Ras Tetteh Wayo stated that the GES has made the U-turn and now supports Achimota not to admit the college students with dreadlocks. According to Ras Tetteh, the GES produced that statement two days back just to come tension straight down and not because they really want the particular student to be admitted. Requested why he knew all of this he said: “There was obviously a meeting today at GES office between the parents from the students and the headmistress associated with Achimota and after the conference, they told the parents to slice off the dreadlocks of their wards before they will be admitted. ”“But for these children, Rastafari will be their region and their particular dreadlock symbolizes that and Dont really know they will discriminate because of the region, ” he additional.
