2 Rastafarian boys who acquired admission to the Achimota High school graduation (SHS) but were refused admission can now heave the sigh of relief following the Ghana Education Service (GES) directed the school administration in order to immediately admit the impacted students. The boys have been asked by the administration to try and do away with their dreadlocks prior to they could be considered for entrance. But parents of the learners after failing to encourage the school to admit all of them resorted to social media in order to complain about the injustice. They will threatened to sue the college for discrimination. Many notable Ghanaians and civil modern society organizations in Education stated that denying the children admission simply because of their Rastafarian hairstyle can be discriminatory and an avilissement to the constitution. They consequently called on the Ghana Training Service (GES) to immediate the school to admit all of them. Many on social media furthermore condemned the actions of the college, saying that they were enforcing colonialist rules that should be discarded nowadays. The GES, in leading the school to admit the particular affected students, asked the students endeavor to keep their head of hair decent by tying this and keeping of nice.
