NAGRAT fights Education Ministry more than interference in solely GES matters

Nationwide Association of Graduate Instructors (NAGRAT) is up in hands with the Ministry of Training over its latest disturbance in the matters that should typically be handled by the Ghana Education Service (GES). Leader of NAGRAT Mr Angel Kabonu wonders why the particular Ministry must advertise pertaining to consideration of positions to get headmasters and the likes when that will falls within the mandate from the GES. “There are a great deal of issues in the educational industry that must be addressed but all of us are pretending as though there are simply no issues. One of them is the choice by the Ministry of Schooling to appoint headmasters plus headmistresses and they are starting with ORIGINATE schools but the Ministry does not have any power to appoint headmasters or even headmistress. ”He said, “It is the function of the Ghana Education Service (GES), the particular GES has that capacity to appoint headmasters and headmistresses, not the Ministry associated with Education. ”He further known as on the Ministry of Education and learning to withdraw the advertisement welcoming applicants to apply for the position associated with headmaster or headmistress. “So, the advertisement brought by the Ministry inviting applicants to apply to become headmasters and headmistress within STEM schools should be withdrawer by the Ministry immediately, ” Mr. Carbonou said. In the mean time, the Ministry of Schooling is yet to respond to some two-week ultimatum by NAGRAT for the withdrawal of the advertising campaign and allow the GES that has the sole prerogative to take cost.
