
Person in Parliament(MP) for Nsawam Adoagyiri Hon. Frank Annoh-Dompreh states he’s ready to leave Parliament if his people consider him not fit to business lead them over his assistance for the e-levy.
The legislator has since morning already been interactive with his followers upon Twitter discussing the e-levy and how important it is for your people of Ghana.
He or she makes the argument that the street tolls were suspended since the money generated from it had not been enough to construct roads in the nation but a broad-based taxes system like the e-levy may address various road issues in the country with ease.
“What the particular toll was bringing in had not been enough to shoulder the road expenditure, you get this?.. with a view of a broad-based tax of E-Levy, all of us needed to suspend it. Absolutely nothing is illegal about the action from the Minister. ”
Annor-Dompreh retains the view that it is much better for the country to be determined by its own revenue rather than based on the external world like it provides always done and e-levy can help the country to be self-reliant.
The position did not sit down nicely with a follower who informed him in the face that he will forfeit his seat as a result of the positioning he has taken on the e-levy which has been opposed by a portion of the Ghanaian people.
However the lawmaker indicated that he is ready to leave Parliament in case his people do not consider him fit to direct them because of his place on e-levy.
