A personal Legal Practitioner and top member of the National Democratic Congress’ Communications team Beatrice Annan has complained bitterly about Ghana’s education field. She argues that presently, the sector is in shambles and the fast something is completed about it the better for the creating country. Beatrice believes this discussion should not be polarized but instead be very nationalistic otherwise the country’s future is going to be bleak considering happenings within the education sector. She produced this known in a twitter update commenting on the recent occurrences in the country. The lawyer stated, “Our education is below threat under this authorities. This is not politics; we must rise and speak against this. Education cannot be business because usual”. Currently, members from the University Teachers Association take strike, that of the Schools of Education are also upon strike. The Ministry associated with Education after failing in order to consult widely on the educational calendar for schools needed to reverse its decision in order to introduce the semester program for the basic schools within Ghana. There have been complaints about deficiency of textbooks to support the new program introduced by the government 3 years after its introduction.
