Precisely why Ghana has never had a film industry – Majid Michel explains

Award winning actor Majid Michel offers argued that Ghana has not had a movie industry such as the world is made to know. This individual believes that what Ghana has is a group of people who are passionate about creating films and thus used their monies to inform stories. “When you state an industry then we have to notice studios, we have to see submission agencies, that is an industry. We have never had an industry what we should have are individuals that via their passion created movies individually. You have the Abdul Salams, The AA Manufacturing, the Gupado films that will at the time these people were entrepreneurs, individual businessmen that recently had an interest for stories, to inform stories so they used their own business money to pay all of us. The man wants his cash back so after the internet overtook, he couldn’t sell the particular CDs anymore so this individual stopped. Why? because he is a businessman and the cash is not coming back, ” this individual said on Accra-based Pleasure FM in an interview. Majid Michel argued that individuals that invested their cash directly into telling stories because they had been passionate about it are the sector and that there has not already been any established industry within Ghana. He believes that when there was an industry, there might have been established studios designed for shooting movies. “Where could it be, we’ve never had, we have never had. The industry was obviously a group of people coming together to create movies. What people out there noticed was the good movies being released but where were these types of movies coming from? They were not really coming from no studios, i was going to peoples houses plus shooting whiles their children had been asleep, where is the business? We were inconveniencing people, i was struggling to make these films. ”Source: MyNewsGh. com/ 2022Send your news stories in order to [email protected] plus via WhatsApp on +233 202452509Related Topics: GhanaStaff Choose
