Common Overseer and Presiding Bishop of House of Belief Ministries (World Missions Church) Dr . Michael Boadi Nyamekye has called on the Cathedral to add value to the life of their members.
He feels that the Church is currently carrying out its primary duty of creating the word known to the people plus ensuring that they have salvation.
Yet he believes that the responsibility of the Church should not be restricted to its primary responsibility yet move on to ensure that members from the Church are provided with the greatest welfare they can get.
This individual was speaking on Accra-based Asempa FM when he or she made this known.
“I believe the Church is definitely fulfilling its Primary responsibility which is the propagation from the gospel. There are things that the particular Church is doing as supplementary responsibility and that’s not really its primary role.
I actually won’t say the Cathedral is not progressing, what I may say is that the Church has to evolve with the times. It will help them come to the recognition that the Church can do items that will help add value towards the members of the church. There exists a Pastor who has created work for his people which has got him to get devotion of his people. ”
He continued “So may we evolve? Can all of us look at doing things that can forster the growth and development of our own people so that the people can get something to do, they will improvement. I was speaking to one of the children and I told your pet that we are trying to develop a design to train people with skillset which is employable and in high demand. Which is how the church was in the first days. In Germany as an example the Catholic Church had exercising centers where members had been trained in TVET. So folks who were in the Church plus were unemployed you start simply by getting them training. ”
He indicated that if the particular members of the Church are usually progressing, it will automatically impact the Church and therefore there is the requirement for the Church to make a mindful effort at ensuring that the members are progressive utilized to.
“We have to look outside of the comfort of making the term in the bible known. The particular bible becomes our guideline, the bible becomes our own template. After the individual comes into the world again, he/she needs to spend school fees, he/she needs to pay rent, that individual must feed so what can all of us do to develop them, to build up their capacity mentally, to build up their capacity, their skillset to be able to gain meaningful work to take care of themselves and their own family. We should be forward searching. So if a Pastor is definitely listening to me and has had the opportunity to build a school or perhaps a hospital I clap for you personally but we should be able to appear beyond that because not every people in your church could be Doctors or Nurses or even cleaners or lecturers. ”
