Experienced Journalist, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako said the wrong doings of the Members of Parliament with regard to the controversial e-levy should not go unaccounted regarding.
Tension in the House on Mon, December 20, escalated straight into fisticuffs between the MPs because they threw punches at each other during proceedings.
Similarly, within January this year before the development of the 8th Parliament, a few members violently misbehaved within the Legislative House which noticed the Tema West Person in Parliament, Carlos Ahenkorah plundering ballot papers in an attempt to evacuate but was met with brutal fight from the Minority associates.
Another similar scene had been captured on Wednesday, Dec 1, where some Group members further attempted to draw the Speaker’s seat, furthermore resulting in a near-brawl.
This based on Kweku Baako is becoming an excessive amount of and it will only be stop if the MP’s involved are usually punished.
According to him, individuals sparking chaos in Parliament must be singled out and suitable punitive actions were used against them.
Baako authorized his displeasure with the MPs saying, “I’m worried. Yes, I’m worried; I’m also angry that the incidents taking place in Parliament are troubling, particularly the 8th Parliament”.
“It is very useful and it is a matter of principle that the particular individuals that showed misconduct within the August House of Parliament should be identified. ”
“They should be identified and the suitable action was taken towards them within the context associated with parliamentary standing orders along with the national constitution and the laws and regulations of this country. ”
“Perhaps, I’m now convinced that will that is the best way forward within curing this mischief, specifically because of the repetition… I’m therefore disappointed. I’m so concerned. I’m angry. I’m really angry, ” he fumed.
