Mature Vice-President and private lawful practitioner Kofi Bentil provides clashed with colleague attorney and #FixTheCountry convenor Mawuse Oliver Barker-Vormawor on set up police have the right to police arrest any person. Mr Bentil experienced asserted police have the directly to make an arrest yet Mr Barker-Vormawor refuted what he claims saying there is the power to police arrest and not a right. Mr Bentil had told a reporter: “It is just not right for any individual to assume any kind of defenses that effectively poses all of them above the law. “In this specific matter, we think that at this stage the Police have a right to impact an arrest and to impact an investigation. If they think that they need to proceed they will go ahead and continue, if anybody has a issue we will call back that individual to court to the courtroom and vindicate themselves. ”But reacting, Me Barker-Vormawor mentioned: “There is no right to police arrest. There is only a power to criminal arrest. The arrest is a screen of power; not a correct. ”Law Lecturer at GIMPA Dr Godwin Dzah decided with Me Barker-Vormawor.
