Ghanaian radio presenter, Nana Romeo has condemned what he or she terms as the unnecessary appointments to the residence of the Nationwide Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu.
Speaking on Accra-based radio station Accra FM, the broadcaster lamented that many people visit the 102-year-old adored religious leader “for simply no special reason” to take photos with him and blog post on social media.
He bemoaned that the situation is getting away from hands and needs to be examined.
“People visit the Chief Vorbeter every day for no exclusive reason. Mostly just to get pictures with him. Presently, if you’re searching for an aged person whose image is over social media, then it is the Chief Imam and it is bad, ” Nana Romeo said.
From his statement, the Chief Imam sometimes appears visibly tired and must rest but his wellness is ignored because he needs to accomadate guests.
Nana Romeo, therefore , called on near associates to put structures in position to regulate the frequency individuals can pay courtesy calls at the Chief Imam.
He mentioned: “It’s about time that their advisors and the people around him enact laws to manage such practices. It is really getting away from hand. Sometimes you can inform from the pictures that the guy is tired but he previously no option. He is developed and therefore needs some relaxation. ”
