The 28-year-old man has been imprisoned by the Ogun State Law enforcement Command for allegedly defeating his mother-in-law to loss of life.
The young man identified as Opeyemi Adeola Ganiyu killed their mother-in-law after he faced her about abusing their wife.
According to reports, Opeyemi is famous for constantly assaulting their wife on the least provocation.
On the day the unfortunate event happened, the deceased referred to as Abosede Oyewole approached Opeyemi to warm him in order to refrain from assaulting her child.
He then descended heavily around the deceased and also stabbed the girl with a knife on her steak.
Madam Abosede Oyewole had been later rushed to the closest hospital but was pronounced deceased on arrival.
He afterwards took to his heels whenever he found that their mother-in-law had passed away unfortunately he later arrested by the law enforcement.
“Preliminary investigation revealed that this suspect is a member of notorious cult group in the area. He seemed to be one of those who led hoodlums to burn down Atan-Ota police division during the #EndSARS protest, killing the divisional crime officer on Oct 21, 2020″, the Public Relationships Officer of the Police Command word, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi revealed.
Meanwhile, the suspect continues to be transferred to the homicide part of the state criminal investigation plus intelligence department for inspections.
