Three Law enforcement officers in Seikwai have been inquired to step aside meant for allegedly beating a believe who was in custody in order to death.
The Officers recognized as General Corporal William Akussung, General Constable Ebenezer Akuffo and Chief Inspector Eric Aforo were reported to get secretly buried the believe after he passed away.
Based on the Bono Regional Police Order Supt. Kennedy Adusei, three officers have been interdicted to assist with the investigations.
“We possess information that the man had been brutalized by the police plus buried secretly so on the instructions of the Local Police Command, those who are purported to have taken part in this heinous crime have been sent to Sunyani.
So far, investigations are continuing. For now, as part of measures from your superiors at the National Head office, we have asked the officials to step aside which we term as interdiction, so they cooperate fully with the investigations”, Supt. Kennedy Adusei explained.
According to reports, the departed, Abu Bukari Bahala who had been a farmer was imprisoned for destroying the windscreen or dashboard of a bank manager’s automobile.
The 48-year-old farmer has been beaten to a pulp by officers which led to his death and they secretly buried him at the Seikwa cemetery.
This was after the category of the deceased were advised by the police that the believe was beaten to demise and have been secretly smothered.
The family, therefore requested for your body to be exhumed with regard to investigations and also proper funeral.
