College of Ghana: ‘Perching’ NSS personnel jumps from fourth floor of Mensah Sarbah Hall to avoid ejection

A new graduate, identified as Wahab Abdulai, a national service individual, is receiving treatment at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital following the fear of being caught simply by authorities of the Mensah Sarbah Hall for illegally moving into the hall of home forced him to leap from the fourth floor from the hall( Mensah Sarbah Annex A). The incident occurred after midnight when a few members of staff exactly where on a mission to identification and arrest illegal inhabitants of the hall, referred to as “perchers” by the university community. Mister Abdulai had allegedly at first hidden from view inside the balcony. But soon, he or she was overcome by dread and took the risk of leaping to the ground in order to get away. Some residence, who observed the whole episode, said that this took the ambulance over an hour before it showed up to send the badly wounded man to the Legon Medical center.
