Investigative Ghanaian journalist Manasseh Azure Awuni has distributed his view on the day-90 sentence of Ghanaian celebrity Akuapem Poloo.
According to the clever journalist, Ghanaians are not contrary to the enforcement of laws but instead, are against the selective using laws.
Manasseh questioned the reason why a Member of parliament who else opened gunshots in middle of people walks free as the actress is now serving ninety days jail term because of a semi-nude picture she posted on the internet.
The former Joy FM reporter in his submission quizzed whether or not Akuapem Poloo would have visited jail if he was obviously a daughter of a politician.
Examine below his full distribution.
THEY’RE NOT AGAINST REGULATION ENFORCEMENT…
Ghanaians are not contrary to the enforcement of laws. They may be against the selective application of laws and regulations.
They are against the fact that Akuapem Polo has been sentenced, however the MP and Minister who seem to took responsibility for the capturing and the burning of bikes at a voters registration center has been rewarded with a substantive ministerial position.
And the law enforcement have released the thugs who were with her and also fired the guns, based on eyewitnesses.
They are against the proper rights system that puts Abuga Pele on trial whilst Clement Kofi Humado testified against him. Abuga Pele is in jail but Mister. Humado is free from criminal prosecution.
They are against the imprisonment associated with Philip Assibit of the Goodwill International Group for twelve years, while the likes associated with Zoomlion and rLG are usually free.
These companies and their own managers could not account for billions of cedis dolled in order to them through shady GYEEDA deals supervised by Clement Kofi Humado.
So , before you decide to vent your frustration plus accuse those complaining associated with double standards, pause plus reflect:
Would Akuapem Polo have gone to jail in the event that she had been the girl of a minister of condition?
We want our laws to become enforced, but if the laws are usually enforced against only the weakened and vulnerable, then it quantities to selective justice.
Plus selective justice is injustice.
